BioHubNet’s ENGAGE program is designed to train and prepare you with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in the fast-evolving fields of biomanufacturing, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.

Who Can Participate?

ENGAGE is tailored for passionate trainees eager to make a difference:

    1. Industry Internships
    • Graduate trainees (Masters and PhD) require:
    • A support letter from the academic supervisor / program director
      • Includes confirmation that the trainee will not receive a stipend from the academic supervisor during the internship period
    • Post-doctoral fellows require:
    • A support letter from the academic supervisor
    • A letter from their institution (e.g., offer letter) that includes the contract end date
    • Recent graduates who completed their graduate program (Masters and PhD) within the last 6 months may also be considered, subject to a case-by-case review.
    • Applicant must already have legal authorization to work in Canada for the full duration of the anticipated internship
    1. Non-industry Internships
    • Must be an exchange within Canada at an academic, government, or hospital/ research laboratories
    • By application in conjunction with supervisor and host PI
    • Open to graduate (Masters, PhD) trainees, post-doctoral fellows, research associates or laboratory technicians

 Initially, funding will be available to trainees from eligible institutions, which are current BioHubNet partner institutions. We plan to expand eligibility to additional institutions in the future.
