Training as the Engine of Health Innovation: BioHubNet and CANTRAIN Join Forces

The BioHubNet and the CANadian consortium of clinical trial TRAINing (CANTRAIN) are proud to announce a transformative partnership dedicated to advancing the education and training for clinical research and trials trainees. This partnership aims to empower the next generation of highly qualified clinical research professionals who will shape the future of health innovation and research in Canada.

As an immersive talent development program, BioHubNet is committed to preparing industry-ready highly qualified personnel (HQP) through hands-on, industry-relevant, and high-quality education and training initiatives. To achieve this mission, BioHubNet has selected CANTRAIN as its clinical trials training platform of choice.

Funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and coordinated at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal (Quebec), CANTRAIN is a pan-Canadian, cutting-edge, competency-based, inclusive clinical trials education and training platform. CANTRAIN is designed to harmonize, enhance, innovate and sustain the quality and capacity of trainees, clinicians, patients and researchers across the country.

This strategic alliance reflects the shared vision of accelerating the development of HQP who will lead transformative discoveries, improve patient outcomes, and contribute to a sustainable, inclusive, and future-ready health system. Together, BioHubNet and CANTRAIN are building a national platform for excellence in clinical research training, creating unparalleled opportunities for trainees to thrive, empowering the next generation of health innovators, and reinforcing Canada’s leadership in clinical research and innovation.
